EMS Standby

We collaborate with you and your team to assess your emergency response needs. We begin with a planning phase to determine the required level of provider and to understand your facility's layout, hazards, and operating procedures. This also involves reviewing documentation and return-to-work policies. What distinguishes us is our approach to emergency training and EMS standby. We work with your team to develop response plans for both high-acuity low-frequency incidents and high-frequency low-acuity incidents. Our main goal is to manage emergencies effectively while minimizing disruption to your regular operations. In essence, we tailor our emergency care and training to fit your specific facility.

We offer all three levels of EMS (EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic), employing only experienced and professional providers. Each provider must pass a comprehensive knowledge, skills, and abilities exam and undergo 8 to 16 hours of training tailored to their assigned tasks. This training process is repeated for each new contract to ensure that you receive high-quality responders, not just certified ones. The training includes, but is not limited to:

  • Facility Documentation (PCRs, Refusals, etc.)
  • Facility Protocols relevant to emergency response
  • Treatment and Transport Plans
  • Site Map Review or Site Tour
  • Site-Specific Treatment Protocols
  • Refresher or Initial Training on Common Hazards
  • Refresher or Initial Training on Major Hazards at the Site
  • Additional Training as needed
  • Local Emergency Response Network and Capabilities

Our lesson plans for responders are specifically designed with your site in mind. You will receive updates throughout the development of these plans, with opportunities for input and final approval before implementation.

Prior to the scheduled EMS standby, we will select providers who include a mix of local responders and those with previous experience working with Glynn Emergency Training. GET is committed to providing not just certified responders but experienced, trained, and validated professionals.
